This week, we’ve had several fun outings to beautiful surf beaches, roadside eats, and coastline drives. Dalton and Hall met a friend on the playground, and several other children have arrived at the marina. Yesterday, we had our first rain, which was conducive to a deep cleaning of the boat from bow to stern, including all of the lockers under the cabin sole; installation of new winches, laundry, Legos, and plenty of reading. The Marsden Cove Marlin Classic is this weekend, so we watched the weigh-ins from the local restaurant last evening.
Today is beautiful: high 60’s and sunny with a NE breeze. Hoping to complete the refrigerator repair today, but now the freezer is on the fritz…surely it’s an easy fix! We plan on finishing up the major system repairs (head, stove, AC) in Aukland next week. Until then, we’ll leave Marsden Cove tomorrow (Sunday) and hop our way to Aukland, via Moko Hinau Island and Great Barrier Island in Fitzroy Bay. We estimate 4-5 hour day sails, with overnight anchorages in each cove. This means food provisioning, last minute laundry, and securing everything on board needs to happen today!
John and I both have NZ phone numbers now and have turned off our Verizon, so please reach out to us via What’s App or email! (We will keep our same US Verizon numbers, but will not be using them, unless necessary.)

Snapper fishing this evening before we head out tomorrow. Stay tuned! Until then,
